Chara Orfanoudaki was born in Athens in 1985 and comes from Crete. She graduated from Lycée Léonin (Nea Smyrni) and she was awarded as the best student in Technological Course. In 2004 she entered School of Architecture Engineering in National Technical University of Athens. During her studies she participated in 2 research programs of NTUA referring to Restoration of Preserved Buildings. She also attended a course project of the same subject which was distincted and it is permanently exhibited in Kerkyra’s Prefectural Hall.
The lecture and the diploma project she presented in cooperation with Maro Alexandropoulou before their graduation were excellent.
In 2013, their diploma project was awarded in “GRE.A.T-GREek Architectural Talent” contest as one of the best 41 under-graduated and post-graduated diploma projects during the 5 last years, elaborated by Greek students either in Greece or abroad. All awarded projects of the contest were exhibited in Athens Concert Hall. In the same year, in cooperation with two more architects (Alexandropoulou Maro, Argirakaki Pari) she participated in Heraklion X4, an architectural contest for redeveloping Heraklion’s neighborhoods. Their project was distincted.
From 2007 till 2012, she co-operates with Domisi Attikis SA construction company and with several architectural firms,as well.
In 2013, she inaugurates her own architectural firm in Moschato and in 2018 decides to move it to Glyfada.
She is currently working as a principal architect in her own architectural firm at Glyfada and is completing her Master of Science diploma which concerns the Sustainable Design of Buildings and Cities.
